We have teamed up with the guys at Sendit to be in with a chance of winning a copy of Paul on Triple Play.
From the producers of Hot Fuzz & Shaun of the dead, Simon Pegg and Nick frost bring you Paul; a weird looking, smart ass alien who has been captured by the feds at Area 51. When he discovers he’s been taken prisoner, the lively extra-terrestrial decides to escape and hops on the first vehicle out of town where he bumps into two British tourists who happen to be Sci-fi Mad! And Paul takes them on an extreme holiday… Of sorts!
To be in with a chance to win this amazing prize simply answer the question below. If you are not that lucky winner this time make sure to head over to TheHut’s Website and see their great range of Blu-Ray Shop.
So here’s the question:
What role did Simon Pegg play in Star Trek?
Answer via the comments below and we’ll pick a winner at random.

Although it won’t be hitting the TV screens until “mid-season” 2012 the new JJ Abrams show, Alcatraz, has already been generating quite a bit of buzz
Here’s the trailer:
The storyline is based around the idea that more than 300 prisoners vanished from Alcatraz about 50 years ago and they are now coming back .. And since they were in Alcatraz you know they weren’t exactly “saints”.

Cowboys and Aliens went on general release in the UK and Ireland this week. I went to see it yesterday evening and to be honest I was quite disappointed.
The storyline could be quite interesting, but it just failed to deliver for me.
Daniel Craig plays Jake Lonergan, who wakes up in the middle of the desert with a strange device attached to his arm. Within the first few minutes of the film he establishes himself as being a “hard ass” and manages to better a group of heavily armed cowboys.
He’s been wounded, though he can’t remember how, so he makes his way into the nearest town where he’s patched up by the local preacher before being arrested as there’s a warrant (and sizeable reward) out for his arrest.
Before that happens we get to see Olivia Wilde, as Ella Swenson, who is wandering around the place with a sixgun in her belt (women carrying guns in 19th century Arizona??)
Harrison Ford plays Woodrow Dolarhyde, a local rancher who seems to have to be inherently evil and thinks he can do whatever he likes, as his cattle is keeping the town alive.
Enter the aliens who snatch Dolarhyde’s son as well as a number of the townspeople.
The rest of the film involves Dolaryhyde working with Lonergan and Ella Swenson as well as the local Indian tribe to find the aliens, free their captives and save the day.
If you ignore the rather weak storyline and unexceptional script you can probably enjoy the action sequences and the visual effects.
But even the visual effects really don’t save the film. It’s simply not that good. Sure, Craig’s portrayal of Londergan is endearing and Ford’s Dolarhyde is interesting, but their performances are, unfortunately, outweighed by the film’s flaws.

Anne Hathaway, who stars as Catwoman in the upcoming Dark Knight Rises, is being plagued by paparazzi. While most stars might simply complain about the media attention or simply ignore it Hathaway prefers to rap about it.
Here’s the result from Conan

According to a report in today’s Independent Irish cinema box office figures are down considerably.
The report blames a number of factors, such as “3D fatigue” and a lack of “discretionary spending”. While both of those factors probably do have a role to play you’d have to wonder if they are the only ones.
A more comprehensive report covering things like “on demand” services such as iTunes, Zune etc., might give a more balanced view.
In recent months it has become increasingly common for film studios on both side of the Atlantic to give some films an “on demand” release at the same time or slightly before its big screen one.
Films such as “Knuckles” would probably never have got a widespread distribution deal, but For Lovers Only, starring Castle’s Stana Katic, could have done. At present it’s available via iTunes but not on the big screen, nor are there any official release dates on its IMDB page
