Banlieue 13 Ultimatum (District 13 Ultimatum), goes on DVD and Bluray release in the next few weeks.

Unfortunately the only versions that will be available initially are going to be French language only, however, if you are a francophone there's a couple of really nice deals available.

Amazon France is listing a standard DVD version as well as a bluray one, while hardcore fans can also opt for a bluray boxset with both Banlieue 13 and Banlieue 13 Ultimatum.

There will probably be a release in English at some point, as the film was released in the UK and US, although much later than in France.

Banlieue 13 - Ultimatum goes on general release in France tomorrow.

Judging by the trailer, teasers and other content they've made available on the official site, it looks like it will be as adrenalin charged as the first instalment.

The main characters appear to be unchanged, with both Cyril Raffaelli and David Belle taking the main roles.

According to EuropaCorp the sequel to Banlieue 13 is in pre-production.

A three month filming schedule in Serbia this summer, with a cinema release in 2009 has been announced.

Both David Belle and Cyril Raffaelli are rumoured to be involved, as is Luc Besson, but exact details are still a bit scant.

If the two principles of Banlieue 13 are involved I'd expect there to be plenty of action and parkour.
