The Pacific, which is produced by Tom Hanks, will be showing in high definition on several cable channels over the coming months.
The series, which follows the US Pacific campaign during WWII, is supposedly similar in style to Band of Brothers, which was a roaring success.

While this show may not be playing on European channels for another few weeks (or months) it looks like it is going to be a visual feast.

According to IFTN the last series of The Tudors is scheduled to begin shooting next week in a variety of locations, including Ardmore Studios, Powerscourt and Kilruddery.
