Thor, which will be released on DVD and Bluray soon, was directed by an Irish director – Kenneth Branagh and according to recent reports its upcoming sequel might see another Irish director take the helm. This time round it could be Brian Kirk, whose recent work includes some of the episodes of Game of Thrones.
If Brian Kirk does land the job as director of Thor 2 (I’d assume it’ll have a better title than that!), then it will be his first foray into big budget feature films.
The sequel to Thor is slated for a summer 2013 release at present.
