The latest film adaptation of Gulliver’s Travels stars Jack Black, Emily Blunt, Jason Segal, Billy Connolly and Amanda Peet.
It’s a quite amusing interpretation of the story, with Black’s character a mailman in a newspaper who has a crush on one of the editors (Amanda Peet). In order to impress her he plagiarises other travel writers’ work to get her to give him a chance at writing for the paper. She’s convinced he’s got genuine writing talent and so she sends him off to investigate a story surrounding the Bermuda triangle. Of course it’s the Bermuda triangle, so next thing his boat is caught in a terrible storm and he wakes up in Lilliput..
It’s currently out on DVD, Bluray and available via iTunes
