Netflix have been adding more and more content to their offerings for the Irish and UK market.
Their latest addition is season 8 of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia which aired on US television up until just before Christmas. So Netflix is now getting some of the TV shows months before the DVD release! (The region 1 release of season 8 of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia isn’t due until September 2013).
I’m not familiar with It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, so I’m relying on the press release!
‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ is about five friends who own and operate Paddy’s Irish Pub in Philadelphia – Mac (Rob McElhenney), Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Charlie (Charlie Day), Sweet Dee (Kaitlin Olson) and Frank (Danny DeVito). Their constant scheming usually lands them in a world of hurt, yet they never seem to learn from their mistakes.
In the latest series the gang goes to therapy, hunts for Nazi treasure, and tries to undermine Philly’s toughest union – the trashmen! Charlie and Dee find love, Frank (Danny DeVito) re-enters the business world, and Dee blurs the lines between the real and virtual worlds when she falls into an obsession with computer games. Get ready for even more disagreements, disunion and divisiveness as the Gang tries once again to scheme their way to happiness!
Starring legendary American actor Danny Devito, creators, developers and producers of the show include Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton and Charlie Day
Of course you can catch up on the previous 7 series on NetFlix too if you want … they’re all available 🙂
