I love film posters. While some of them aren’t that creative and simply have a shot of the main characters, others are incredibly evocative images which can stand by themselves as artworks.
The upcoming release of Terminator Salvation, starring Christian Bale, has several posters available, so I thought it would be interesting to share the ones I’ve got my hands on with others.
Here are the four in no particular order:
This first one puts an obvious emphasis on the machine – the terminator itself.
How about this one?
This time round they’ve combined the image of the Terminator robot with that of a cityscape, while also giving the impression of decay, or at least that’s my take on it! The end result gives a lot of impact.
Here’s another one:
This time round you have the Terminator robot framed by two human faces. While it still has plenty of impact I’m not sure if I’d want it on my wall
While the last one is possibly the weakest in terms of visual impact:
Again the humans are present, but this time they seem to be more prominent than the Terminator figure in the background. Or are they?
Of the four posters it’s probably my least favourite.
Has anyone come across any other variations?
