Overhyped films often disappoint, but the opposite can be said for films like What Happens In Vegas.
I picked up What Happens In Vegas purely by chance (it was part of a special offer!)
When I sat down to watch it I wasn’t expecting much from it. Ashton Kutcher can be amusing, but he’s not exactly a “heavyweight”. Cameron Diaz may be great fun to watch, but she’s nearly always in “light” films.
What Happens in Vegas was, therefore, a pleasant surprise.
While I was expecting a bit of escapism, I wasn’t prepared to enjoy it as much as I did.
The storyline is quite simple.

To make things that bit more interesting Kutcher won 3 million dollars, which is also being disputed, as the quarter he used was Diaz’s
The rest of the film is follows the crazy adventures of their 6 month marriage together and how they develop as people.
It’s not nearly as funny as There’s Something About Mary, but What Happens In Vegas is a lot funnier and entertaining than you’d expect.
If you want to cheer yourself up on a cold wintery night, then grab it from your local video shop.
