Fringe, which I have to admit I’ve really been enjoying, is due to be released on bluray later this year (season 1 anyway).
At present Amazon US is taking pre-orders on it, but they haven’t published an actual release date.
Since so many of the US TV shows are now being broadcast in high definition I personally suspect that we’ll be seeing a lot more releases in the coming months.
The big question of course remains. Will the studios re-release any of their back catalogues? And if they do, will the titles be worth buying?
There’s nothing more annoying in my view than a lazy bluray release.
